NO HORIZON
THE FORGOTTON STORY OF AN EXTRAORDINARY YORKSHIREMAN
No Horizon

Introduction

He consorted with kings and queens; his brilliance was celebrated across 18th century Europe; he held the most highly prized scientific position in the country.  A genius, a character, a teacher, a visionary and yet – he had no eyes.

No Horizon tells the forgotten story of the rise of this remarkable man, Nicholas Saunderson.  Looking beyond his extraordinary achievements it relates a heart-rending human tale from impoverished Yorkshire origins through adversity, prejudice and humiliation to triumphant success.

This once revered man has been largely forgotten - his yellowing bust stands outside in a distant corner of Christ’s College.

No Horizon tells the story of Saunderson the man. It reveals, in inspiring manner, how he overcame the many hurdles in his way before reaching a tantalizing climax. Touchingly told, the show features music that is both beautiful and memorable; ranging from evocative ballads, to intense chorus numbers and light-hearted songs.
